Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 17 August 2026
The Love Bible is an independent editorial site founded by Mara Ellison. Some pages may include links to products, books, or retailers. If you buy through one of those links, we may earn a commission. That commission does not change the price you pay.
This notice applies site-wide whenever affiliate links are present. Today, many pages have no live affiliate links yet — the disclosure still stands for when they do.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a tracked URL from a brand, retailer, or network. If a purchase completes after you use that link, we may receive a fee. Programs differ; the principle does not.
How we use them
- Links appear mainly where a tool, book, or product is the honest next instrument for that page’s question — not on every relationship spiral.
- We do not turn silence, gaslighting, or “do they like me” pages into shopping pages. Shame → SKU is banned.
- A commission does not decide our conclusions. If we have not used a product, we say so. See How we review.
- We do not accept payment to invent positive reviews, hide defects, or erase honest criticism.
Books, decks, and tools
Speech pages may later point to books or conversation tools that map the same job (attachment, repair after a fight). Body and guide pages may point to sexual-wellness tools. Same disclosure either way.
Editorial vs commercial
Editorial content is written for readers first. Affiliate links are a funding layer, not the reason the page exists. Sponsored placements, if we ever publish any, will be labeled separately.
FTC
We intend this disclosure to meet US FTC expectations for material connections. If something is unclear, tell us.
